ABOUT PALLISER TOWERS CALGARY
Palliser is a multi-tower office complex dedicated to revitalizing a historic landmark, the Calgary Tower. A vision for a Canadian centre of commerce and business exchange. It is a hub for Calgary's emerging business corridor, extending from EnCana's world headquarters to the Palliser Towers, bookending the city's best restaurants, business hotels, and conference space. Upon completion, Palliser will add a new chapter to Calgary's emergence as an international centre of commerce.
DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Aspen Aspen Properties is a fully integrated privately held real estate company based in the city of Calgary. Together with investment partners, Aspen owns and manages approximately 1.9 million square feet of office space and 2,326 parking stalls in the cities of Calgary and Edmonton. The portfolio includes 11 buildings in downtown Calgary and 1 in downtown Edmonton, as well as three prime office development sites in downtown Calgary totaling 900,000 square feet. Aspen’s financial platform and management integrity has positioned it for strong, disciplined, conservatively capitalized growth.
Aspen has cultivated a unique relationship among tenants, municipal leaders, civic groups and architectural and construction partners. The company has leveraged these relationships for the creation of Palliser. Architectural partner Gibbs Gage has created a stunning piece of architecture that will be the signature silhouette on Calgary’s downtown sky.
LOCATION
The Centre Street business promenade, starting at the EnCana Bow and ending at the Calgary Tower, will be home to Canada's leading financial, energy and technology players. Add the city's best hotels and restaurants to the mix, the Telus Convention Centre and the heart of Calgary's Cultural District and the Arts Centre, and a premiere downtown location is born. The Palliser Towers, along with the Calgary Tower, will be front and centre within this new business promenade.
VISION AND PHILOSOPHY
The Palliser development plans include three new office towers, a renovated One Palliser Square and a thriving commercial promenade.
Gibbs Gage has masterfully incorporated and embraced the streetscape and the iconic Calgary Tower into the project. Granite, glazing, and architectural details set Palliser apart from other developments in the city. Cambrian granite and St. Marc limestone are used to create interior and exterior feature walls that emulate the Canadian Rockies. A total of 1.2 million square feet of office space will be created upon completion of the development project: an 18 storey office tower on 10th Avenue and two 24 storey office towers, each on either side of the Calgary Tower on 9th Avenue. The existing One Palliser Square and the Palliser Parkade will be redesigned to reflect the vision of the three new towers.
PALLISER PROMENADE
The Palliser South location will appeal to a variety of individuals and businesses. Out-of-town business travelers will appreciate the direct proximity of Palliser South to the Marriott, the Palliser, the Hyatt, and the new Le Germain hotel. Stephen Avenue Mall, the cultural arts district, and a variety of upscale restaurants are just a few steps away.
Tenants' employees and visitors will enjoy the Plus 15 connection and the two block proximity to the LRT. Ruth's Chris Steak House, opening at the base of the Calgary Tower in Fall 2007, and 360 Degrees of Excellence in the Panorama Dining Room at the top of the Tower provide two very special dining experiences within steps of Palliser South.
